Wayne Rooney is on a mission to lead Manchester United to Champions League glory this season - inspired by Sir Bobby Charlton and the memory of the Busby Babes. Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster, which claimed 23 lives, including eight of Sir Matt Busby's famed emerging young United players. Munich survivor Charlton addressed the United first-team squad in an emotional speech to give the younger players in particular a grasp of the far-reaching impact of the tragedy. "Sir Bobby said how fitting it would be for us to win the European Cup in this year of all years - but he also said he didn't want to put too much pressure on us," said Rooney. "If we did manage to do it, it would be a great achievement and the best possible way to honour the Busby Babes."
